A test mule of the next generation of Infiniti's highest volume line, the G series, was nabbed by our spy photographers taking a rest at a parking lot in Northern Europe.
While these pictures don't tell us much about the new G sedan other than that it will have wider front and rear tracks, the fact that our photographers told us that the prototype was seen going in and out of a known Mercedes test facility, proves that the cooperation between Daimler and the Renault-Nissan Alliance is in full swing.
It is possible that one of the test mules is wearing one of Mercedes-Benz' diesel engines as this is something the two companies have already confirmed.
We still don't know if Infiniti will continue the development of its famed VQ series of V6 engines or if the company will take a look at the Mercedes-Benz's parts bin for a new six-cylinder gasoline unit.
As for the design, we can only speculate, but if you look at Infiniti's new production JX crossover and its recent concept models like the LE compact sedan and the Emerg-E, you will find some clues to as what styling elements will be used on the sedan such as the creased beltline and the pinched front grille.
